Day 1 checklist (5 steps, under 10 min)

Claim your daily credits with /daily in any channel. 50 base plus streak bonus (capped at +100 at day 10).
Check your bankroll with /bankroll show. Alpha testers start with virtual credits (David: 300; Mar and Glizzy: standard starting pool).
Pull a pick with /picks (NBA Playoffs, NFL Draft props, MLB). Each pick embed shows Edge / Signal / Context / Risk plus quarter-Kelly sizing.
Place your first virtual bet with /bet. The book flag lets you tag which sportsbook you would use in the real version (DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, Circa, Pinnacle, Fanatics, Underdog, PrizePicks, Other).
Track it with /mybets. Settlement is auto once the game finalizes.

Every /picks and /potd embed uses the same 4 factor structure so you do not have to guess what the bot is telling you:

Edge: the number. How much the model likes the lean vs the current line (for example, +4 vs implied 50/50).
Signal: the one or two features that drove the edge (recent form, rest, matchup split, injury news, travel, pace, etc).
Context: the bigger picture the signal sits inside (playoff pressure, back to back, division rival, weather, referee crew).
Risk: what breaks the thesis. If this happens, fade the pick.

Quarter-Kelly sizing is the default on any pick that ships a size. The bot will never tell you to hammer 5 units on a coin flip.

(Games run on virtual credits, no real money. They are for engagement, not for stacking your edge.)

/upgrade shows Free vs Pro ($29.99) vs Elite ($79.99). Alpha testers have founder access; upgrading is not required during alpha.

Set a loss limit with /self-exclude 7|30|90|365. Lockout is instant, no overrides, no exceptions.
Hit the "report a concern" button in any pick embed or run /report.

If a friend is spiraling, the /report user:@them flow routes to staff with no shaming to either side.

Bot did not respond? Wait 3 seconds, rerun. Discord rate limits spike during game windows.
/picks returned "no picks for this window"? The odds feed updates every 10 minutes; try again in a minute. If it persists past 5 minutes in an active sports window, flag in #alpha-feedback.
Your bankroll looks wrong? Run /bankroll show a second time; if a settled bet did not reflect, ping David in #alpha-feedback with the /mybets embed attached.
Lost your welcome DM? Run /getting-started in any channel to replay the 3 step onboarding.
